HOFSCHNEIDER ENGINEERING CORPORATION is looking to fill one (1) AUTOCAD OPERATOR position in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. Work will be performed only at 2nd Floor, JET Building, Middle Road, Gualo Rai, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands 96950. This is a TEMPORARY, full-time position and we are looking to fill this job opening for employment from 10/01/2024 to 09/30/2027.
Terms & Conditions of Employment: Workers will be paid no less than $16.18. Frequency of pay is biweekly. Overtime will be paid at a rate of 1.5 times base hourly rate. The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Hourly work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (one-hour lunch break) 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any.
Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
Daily Transportation: Employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite.
Employer-Provided Tools and Equipment: Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
On-the-Job Training will not be provided by employer.
Deductions from Pay: The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by federal and local law and will not make any deductions that are not required by law.

Prepare detailed drawings of architectural and structural features of buildings or drawings and topographical relief maps used in civil engineering projects, such as highways, bridges, and public works. Use knowledge of building materials, engineering practices, and mathematics to complete drawings. Tasks include: prepare civil, structural, and architectural drawings, detailing by using AutoCAD and other design and review software; develop conceptual and detailed drawings for various residential, industrial, aviation and commercial design projects in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil3D, SketchUp, and related software; conduct site visits and obtain measurement of facilities or structures and related site information for developing base plans or as-built drawings; assist project engineers and project managers with coordination of design projects; candidates may also assist project engineers and project managers with construction projects. Tasks include assisting with daily document management for design and construction management projects these include hard copy and e-copy filing of correspondence, emails, and project daily reports from site staff (engineers and inspectors) and from contractors and consultants; assist with processing of data and documents such as preparation of forms and data input, exhibits for zoning permit and DEQ permit for applications and assist in development of technical illustrations for inclusion in engineering reports using AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil3D, SketchUp, and Bluebeam Revu.
