2. Perform routine maintenance on building or apartment unit’s electrical power connections such as wires and sockets.
3. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with safety building codes.
4. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
5. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
6. Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures, using testing devices such as voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety.
7. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
8. Place conduit, pipes or tubing inside designated partitions, walls or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
9. Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power tools.
10. Work from ladders, scaffolds roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures.
11. Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.
12. Install or connect power cables to equipment such as water pump or motors.
13. Provide assistance by operating emergency lights or generators in apartment buildings.
14. Communicate and listen to tenants regarding their complaints about electrical problems in their units.
15. Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials or labor.
16. Maintain report logbook on repairs performed and complaints received.
17. Read and comply with building safety codes.
18. Assist power provider representative or government officers during building inspection.
19. Report to company’s Operation Manager regarding daily accomplishments and pending projects.
20. Purchase materials, if needed.
