Job Qualification Requirements:
Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Must have at least 6 months training as air conditioning and refrigeration repairer and installer. Must have 24 months job experience as Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanics and Installers. Must be knowledgeable on the functions of refrigerator and air conditioning components such as air compressor, condenser, expansion valves, evaporator steam , blower, evaporator coil, condensing coil, fan motor and fin, air filter, thermostats and refrigerants. Must have a general knowledge of building and electrical wiring. Must be able to read building plans or sketches. Must be physically fit to lift or move objects 50 lbs or and above. Must be able to work in open or confined spaces, exposed to extreme heat, or cold, dirt, noise and cleaning solutions. Must be able to stand, squat, and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to read, write, add, subtract, divide and multiply. Must be able to speak the English language. Must be able to obtain a driver’s license or possess a driver’s license in order to drive the company car to the assigned job location.

EMPLOYER PROVIDED TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
BOARD, LODGING, or OTHER FACILITIES: Workers will be provided with board, lodging, or other facilities AND/OR the employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other facilities.
DAILY TRANSPORTATION: Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal and Commonwealth laws and regulations.
THREE FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any.
TRANSPORTATION and SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
WORK HOURS OFFERED: Minimum of 35 hours per week. OVERTIME AVAILABLE: Overtime hours will be available to the worker under this job offer and payable the rate disclosed in this JVA $10.74 per hour x1.5 =$16.11 (Overtime Wage Rate Paid).

1. Install and repair air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and water heaters using gauges, adjustable wrench, tester, soldering iron, portable torch, flaring tools, recovery machine, ladder and screw drivers.
2. Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and water heaters.
3. Inspect or troubleshoot equipments to determine if they are properly operating using gauges and testers.
4. Disassemble equipment to inspect for deficiencies and reassemble after repair.
5. Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the refrigerator, air conditioner, or freezer.
6. Test power line supply and control board for leaks.
7. Braze, solder or weld copper pipe/metal parts or components.
8. Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts.
9. Install expansion and control valves, using acetylene torches and wrenches.
10. Install wiring to connect components to an electrical power source.
11. Mount compressor, condenser, and other components in specified locations on frames using hand tools and acetylene welding equipment.
12. Cut, bend thread and connect pipe to functional components and water, power or refrigeration system.
13. Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity and type of components needed to build refrigeration or air conditioning system.
14. Lay out reference points for installation of structural and functional components, using measuring instruments.
15. Drill holes and install mounting brackets if required.
16. Insulate shells and cabinets of systems.
17. Lift and align air conditioning and refrigeration units into position using carts or hoists.
18. Estimate labor and parts costs.
19. Submit reports to Operation Manager of daily tasks accomplished pending tasks that needs to be accomplished.
