Three-Fourths Guarantee - As required by 20 CFR 655.423(f), MIC offers employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourth of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after arrival of any worker or the contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on expiration on the date specified in the work contract or its extension, if any. Transportation - As required by 20 CFR 6550423(j)(1), MIC will provide or reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the United States, including another part of the Commonwealth, or abroad, to the place of employment if the worker completes 50 percent of the period of employment covered by the work contract (not counting any extensions). Analyze and prepare financial statements according to analytical accounting standards of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Review, formulate, recommend and implement accounting policies and system procedures of the company. Provide overall planning, direction, supervision and control of all accounting work. Coordinate activities and functions of the Accounting Department and Cashier's Office. Handle postings to general ledger from books of original entry. Verify all journal, check and accounts payable vouchers. Coordinates with bookkeeper to ensure postings are accurate and ensure that ledgers are updated and periodically reconciled with general ledger. Review aging of accounts payables, vouchers payable and receivables. Prepares 1) balance sheets, 2) income statements, 3) statement of changes in financial position, 4) annual report (NAIC form) of property and casualty companies for the Office of the CNMI Insurance Commissioner, 5) other statements and reports as required by management.
